How long is Polar Tint franchise training?

65 hours total: 40 classroom hours plus 25 on-the-job hours, delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate (FDD Item 11).

Per FDD Item 11, Polar Tint franchise training is 65 hours total over an approximate one-week period: 40 classroom hours and 25 on-the-job hours. The classroom side covers the operations playbook, financials, hiring, marketing, FDD compliance, and the booking and reporting systems; the on-the-job side is hands-on installation across all six service lines plus first installs, booking, and the first reporting cycle. All of it is delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate, under the direction of founder Edward Bravo and Polar Tint designees. Ongoing support continues through quarterly operator calls and an annual operator conference.

The curriculum

Three modules — 65 hours of initial training, then ongoing operator support.

  1. Classroom

    40

    hours

    Operations playbook + live install

Roughly one week. Half classroom (operations playbook, hiring, marketing, FDD compliance, financials) and half hands-on installation across all six service lines. Delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate (FDD Item 11).

  2. On-the-job

    25

    hours

    Hands-on operating reps

25 on-the-job hours run alongside the classroom block — first installs, booking systems, the first marketing push, and the first reporting cycle. Delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate (FDD Item 11).

  3. Ongoing

    Quarterly

    hours

    Operator calls + annual conference

Quarterly operator calls cover P&L review, new product and process rollouts, and shared best practices across the network. An annual conference brings the operator group together for two days of operational deep dives.

Training FAQs

What franchisees ask about training.

How long is Polar Tint franchise training?

65 hours total over an approximate one-week period, per FDD Item 11: 40 classroom hours plus 25 on-the-job hours, delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate. After that, ongoing operator support continues through quarterly calls and an annual conference.

What does the training cover?

The 40 classroom hours split roughly half-and-half between operations and craft. Operations side: P&L management, hiring and scheduling, FDD compliance, the marketing playbook, customer flow, and the booking and reporting systems. Craft side: hands-on installation across all six service lines (window tint, ceramic coating, PPF, residential film, commercial film, vehicle wraps) with the install team. The 25 on-the-job hours put those reps into practice — first installs, the marketing push, and the first reporting cycle.

Where does training take place?

Per FDD Item 11, training is delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate. Either way you learn the operating model proven at the affiliate shops running since 2015, taught by founder Edward Bravo and Polar Tint designees.

Do I need window tinting experience before training?

No. The training program is built for first-time owner-operators with no prior window film background. Most applicants come from other industries — they bring operating discipline, the program brings the playbook. The hands-on installation hours are designed assuming zero starting craft experience.

Will Polar Tint help with my shop's grand opening?

Yes. The 25 on-the-job hours of initial training (FDD Item 11) walk your team through the first installs, the first booking and dispatching, and the first reporting cycle so you have an experienced operator alongside you while the patterns get set. In parallel, grand-opening and ongoing marketing run continuously through Frostbite Marketing, our affiliate agency — not just at opening.

What ongoing support do franchisees receive after opening?

Quarterly operator calls covering P&L review, new product and process rollouts, and shared best practices across the franchisee network. An annual operator conference brings the group together for two days of operational deep dives. Marketing support through Frostbite Marketing (our affiliate agency) runs continuously, not just at opening.

Can my employees attend training?

Per FDD Item 11, the Managing Owner and Operations Manager(s) must complete the initial training program. It is built for the owner-operator and a designated lead installer, and the 25 on-the-job hours fold in the opening team as they run the first installs and booking cycles.

What if I need refresher training later?

Quarterly operator calls and the annual conference function as continuous refreshers. For one-off skill gaps (a new product launch, a tricky vehicle, a hire onboarding), the Polar Tint trainer team is reachable for video walk-throughs and additional training we designate at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location.
