Resale

When it's time to sell, here's how it works.

Polar Tint franchise resales follow a documented transfer process with a franchisor right of first refusal. Operators who build a single-unit or multi-unit portfolio have a clear exit path to either an outside buyer or back to the franchise system.

Can I sell my Polar Tint franchise?

Yes — subject to franchisor approval of the buyer per FDD Item 17.

Selling a Polar Tint franchise to an outside buyer requires the franchisor to approve the buyer (background check, capital qualification, training commitment) and follows a documented transfer process. Polar Tint maintains a Right of First Refusal — the franchisor can match any qualified outside offer. The transfer fee covers new-operator re-training, background checks, and legal documentation. Most transfers complete in 60–120 days from the buyer's offer.

Transfer fee schedule, Right-of-First-Refusal mechanics, and approval criteria are documented in FDD Items 17 and 22. The Polar Tint development team supports both selling operators and buy-side prospects through the transfer process.

How a Polar Tint resale typically goes

The 4-step transfer process.

  1. Step 1

    Notify the franchisor

The selling operator notifies Polar Tint of intent to sell. The franchisor confirms the operator is in good standing (no royalty arrears, no material franchise-agreement breaches) and triggers the Right-of-First-Refusal clock.

  2. Step 2

    Source the buyer

Selling operator finds an outside buyer (broker, network, qualified prospect). Polar Tint can also surface qualified candidates from its own pipeline — many operators value a quick warm-transfer to a vetted Polar Tint applicant.

  3. Step 3

    Franchisor approval + ROFR window

Polar Tint reviews the proposed buyer (background, capital, operator fit). Franchisor has a contractually-defined Right of First Refusal — the option to match the buyer\'s offer and reabsorb the shop into the corporate / affiliate-owned pool.

  4. Step 4

    Close + new-operator training

Buyer completes the standard Polar Tint operator training (65 hours — 40 classroom hours plus 25 on-the-job hours, delivered at our Henderson, NV HQ, virtually, or another location we designate, per FDD Item 11), signs the franchise agreement, pays the transfer fee, and assumes operation. Selling operator transitions out per the negotiated terms.
