Fort Worth — Cowtown, where the West begins — has its own mix of motorsports, aerospace and logistics, apart from Dallas: Texas Motor Speedway hosts NASCAR Cup Series racing at its Fort Worth address, Lockheed Martin builds the F-35 in the city, and AllianceTexas anchors north Fort Worth. The National Weather Service describes a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and large hail nearly every year, the local conditions that window film, paint protection film and ceramic coating are designed for.

The Fort Worth market profile
Fort Worth is also known as the city where the West begins, or Cowtown. Two local factors are relevant to window film, ceramic coating, and PPF: climate and vehicle culture.
Climate. Humid subtropical with hot summers; July and August temperatures often reach or exceed 100 degrees, and large hail, damaging winds, flooding and tornadoes occur nearly every year (National Weather Service Fort Worth, Dallas/Fort Worth climate narrative).
Vehicle culture. Motorsports, aerospace, rail and aviation: Texas Motor Speedway (a NASCAR Cup Series track with a Fort Worth address), Lockheed Martin's F-35 production facility, AllianceTexas and Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport in north Fort Worth, the headquarters of American Airlines and BNSF Railway, and Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. Window tint, PPF and ceramic coating apply to cars, trucks and SUVs alike.
Local factors in the Fort Worth market
Documented local characteristics relevant to window film, ceramic coating, and PPF services in Fort Worth:
- Texas Motor Speedway, at 3545 Lone Star Circle in Fort Worth, hosts NASCAR Cup Series racing. Paint protection film and ceramic coating are the Polar Tint services built around protecting a vehicle's paint.
- Hot North Texas summers — the National Weather Service notes July and August temperatures often reach or exceed 100 degrees — make solar heat rejection, the core purpose of ceramic window film, a practical feature for local drivers.
- AllianceTexas, a master-planned, mixed-use development in north Fort Worth, and Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport add commercial and industrial property where commercial window film applies.
- Fort Worth is home to the headquarters of American Airlines and BNSF Railway and to Lockheed Martin's F-35 production facility — office and commercial buildings where commercial window film applies.
- Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth sits north/northwest of downtown.

Example ZIP codes (reference only): 76102, 76092, 76126, 76117, 76180, 76028, 76179, 76008.
Coverage is approximate. These ZIP codes are examples from the wider market, not preset shop sites. Under FDD Item 11, the franchisee selects the site and must obtain Polar Tint’s approval; the Designated Territory is then mapped around the approved shop and typically sized as the lesser of a population cap and a radius (FDD Item 12). The list covers the wider Fort Worth area, not a single territory. Request info with your ZIP code to check availability.
Texas window-tint regulations
Same as Texas statewide: Texas Transportation Code §547.613 requires front side windows (and wing vents) to allow 25% or more light transmission and no more than 25% reflectance, film plus glass.
Rear side windows are exempt from any limit, and the rear window is exempt only if the vehicle has an outside mirror on each side giving the driver a view of the highway at least 200 feet to the rear.
Tinted windshield film is allowed only as a strip above the AS-1 line or within five inches of the top, whichever is closer to the top, and that strip must also meet the 25%/25% limits and may not be red, blue, or amber. Clear, untinted UV film may be applied anywhere on the windshield (37 TAC § 21.3(a)(1)).
The statute also makes it a defense to prosecution that the driver or a passenger must be shielded from the sun for a medical reason, and a Department of Public Safety rule (37 TAC § 21.3(e)) allows film below 25% on windows other than the windshield when a licensed physician or optometrist signs a statement that it is needed to protect that person's health.
Polar Tint’s affiliated manufacturer, Glacier Manufacturing, supplies window film across a range of VLT tiers, so the operator can match each window to what Texas law allows.
The Fort Worth competitive landscape
Fort Worth is served by independent tint and paint-protection shops and by at least one national franchise brand — Tint World publishes a Fort Worth – Benbrook store page on its website. Polar Tint had no Texas outlets at the end of 2025 (FDD Item 20 lists every outlet in Nevada).
How Polar Tint is structured: a defined supply relationship with affiliated manufacturer Glacier Manufacturing (supplier terms in FDD Item 8), six service lines from one shop, and systems developed at the affiliate shops operating since 2015.
What makes Polar Tint different in Fort Worth
- Six service lines from one shop. Window tint, PPF, ceramic coating, commercial window film, residential window film, and wraps.
- Operator-built training and systems. The training curriculum, marketing playbook, KPI report structure, and shop standards were developed at the affiliate shops operating since 2015 and are documented in the Operations Manual.
- Designated Territory. Your Fort Worth territory is mapped around your shop and sized by the population-and-radius cap in FDD Item 12 — typically the lesser of the two. Mapped once the site is approved and recorded in Schedule 1 of the franchise agreement. The territory is not exclusive; while you are not in default, Polar Tint will not open or franchise another Polar Tint location inside it, subject to the rights it reserves in FDD Item 12.
- SBA Franchise Directory listed. Polar Tint is listed on the SBA Franchise Directory, which SBA lenders use when evaluating whether a franchisee’s business is eligible for SBA 7(a) financing. The listing is not an SBA endorsement or approval of the brand, and each loan still has to meet lender underwriting and SBA requirements. Your equity-injection requirement is determined by the SBA and the lender, not by Polar Tint — an SBA-approved lender can quote your exact figure.
- Veteran and first-responder discount. 25% off the initial franchise fee for honorably discharged veterans and first responders on a first territory (FDD Item 5; Franchise Agreement §5.1).
Fort Worth Polar Tint franchise — frequently asked questions
Is Fort Worth part of a Dallas territory?
Not automatically. Fort Worth and Dallas are separate cities, and Polar Tint does not pre-assign either one to a territory.
Under FDD Item 12, each franchisee's Designated Territory is drawn around the approved shop location — typically the lesser of a population cap and a radius — and it is not exclusive: while the agreement is in effect and the franchisee is not in default, Polar Tint won't open or franchise another Polar Tint location inside that territory, subject to the reserved rights described in Item 12.
An owner who wants more than one location can apply for each unit under its own franchise agreement or under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement. Those reserved rights include awarding franchises inside a territory at non-traditional sites such as military bases, airports, college campuses, hotels and stadiums.
Does Polar Tint offer a veteran discount in Fort Worth?
Yes. Polar Tint offers honorably discharged veterans and first responders 25% off the initial franchise fee on a first territory (FDD Item 5; Franchise Agreement §5.1). Fort Worth is home to Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, north/northwest of downtown (Military OneSource).
