Polar Tint awards multi-unit and area-developer agreements to qualified operators who want to build a portfolio inside a single metro or state.
Can I open more than one Polar Tint shop?
Yes, with Polar Tint's approval — each added shop gets its own franchise agreement, signed on its own or under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement.
The FDD describes two routes (Items 1, 5 and 12). (1) Open one shop, then apply for another under a new franchise agreement, meeting Polar Tint's then-current requirements at that time. The single-unit agreement grants no option or right of first refusal on additional franchises. (2) Sign a Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA). It sets a development schedule for a defined Development Area, each shop opened under it still gets its own franchise agreement, and a development fee for each additional unit is disclosed in FDD Item 5. The right route depends on your capital position, operator capacity, and timeline.

What changes with more than one shop
Four things to plan for as a multi-unit owner.

Systems already in place
By the time you add a shop, your team, supplier ordering, and operating routines are already running. Polar Tint does not publish how that affects a second shop's results, so model it with your accountant.

Some shared back-office costs
Bookkeeping and marketing coordination can be shared across locations. Each shop still carries its own rent, staff, and the fees due under its own franchise agreement (FDD Item 6).

An Operations Manager at each shop
If you own and operate more than one Polar Tint franchise, each location must be managed and supervised on-site by an Operations Manager who meets Polar Tint's standards and completes its initial training (FDD Item 15). Your role shifts toward overseeing the locations.

Selling later
Each franchise transfer needs Polar Tint's prior written consent and is subject to the conditions in FDD Item 17. Any sale price depends on the operator's financials, the agreement term, and the buyer pool at the time.
