Per FDD Item 11, Polar Tint franchise training is 65 hours total. The 40-hour classroom block runs over 5 days at the Las Vegas flagship affiliate shop — half operations playbook, financials, marketing, and FDD compliance; half hands-on installation across all six service lines with the in-shop install team. The 25-hour on-site block places a Polar Tint trainer at your shop during grand opening week and the two weeks that follow, walking your team through their first installs, booking systems, and reporting cycle. Ongoing support continues through quarterly operator calls and an annual operator conference.

What does the training cover?

The 40 classroom hours split roughly half-and-half between operations and craft. Operations side: P&L management, hiring and scheduling, FDD compliance, the marketing playbook, customer flow, and the booking and reporting systems. Craft side: hands-on installation across all six service lines (window tint, ceramic coating, PPF, residential film, commercial film, vehicle wraps) with the in-shop install team. The 25 on-site hours are dedicated to your shop's first installs, marketing push, and reporting cycle.

Where does the classroom portion of training take place?

At the Las Vegas flagship affiliate shop — the original operator-built location that's been running since 2014. You'll train in the same bay where the playbook was developed, alongside the operating team.

Do I need window tinting experience before training?

No. The training program is built for first-time owner-operators with no prior window film background. Most applicants come from other industries — they bring operating discipline, the program brings the playbook. The hands-on installation hours are designed assuming zero starting craft experience.

Yes. A Polar Tint trainer flies to your shop the week of grand opening and stays through the first ~3 weeks of operation — 25 on-site hours total. What ongoing support do franchisees receive after opening?

Can my employees attend the Las Vegas training?

The 40 classroom hours are designed for the owner-operator and one designated lead installer per shop. Additional team members are welcome to attend the on-site 25-hour grand-opening training at your shop — that block is sized for the whole opening team.

What if I need refresher training later?

Quarterly operator calls and the annual conference function as continuous refreshers. For one-off skill gaps (a new product launch, a tricky vehicle, a hire onboarding), the Polar Tint trainer team is reachable for video walk-throughs and, where it makes sense, scheduled on-site visits.
