About Polar Tint: The 2026 Operator-Built Franchise Story

About Polar Tint: The 2026 Operator-Built Franchise Story. Polar Tint LLC launched in late 2025 as a franchise system built on years of affiliate operating experience at LV Pro Tint in Las Vegas. The first FDD was issued April 28, 2026.

What is Polar Tint Franchise?

A window film, ceramic coating, and paint protection film franchise — owned and operated by the people who supply the film.

Polar Tint LLC is a U.S. franchise system that licenses operators to run window film and protective-coating shops under the Polar Tint brand. The franchisor launched in late 2025 with the first FDD issued April 28, 2026. Glacier Manufacturing, the manufacturing partner, makes the film, ceramic, and PPF that every franchisee sources at manufacturer-direct cost rather than distributor markup — the structural economic advantage that defines the system.

Inside Polar Tint

Watch the operator story.

Operating history

A decade of in-shop experience.

Polar Tint LLC was launched in late 2025 by operators with years of in-shop experience at LV Pro Tint in Las Vegas. The franchise system codifies what works in a real shop — built on top of the operating playbook that the LV Pro Tint affiliate shops developed and refined.

The franchise system launched after 10+ years of operating evidence — not as a concept pitched to financiers, but as a playbook codified by people who installed product day in and day out. The training curriculum, supplier pipeline, and unit economics come directly from that operating base.

Manufacturing partner — Glacier Manufacturing

Wholesale film, ceramic, and PPF.

Glacier Manufacturing is Polar Tint's manufacturing partner. Every Polar Tint franchisee sources film, ceramic, and PPF inventory directly through Glacier at just over manufacturing cost. The same products bought through distributor channels — which is how most independent tint shops source — typically carry 100% to 1000%+ markups depending on the product line. The manufacturer-direct relationship is the single most impactful structural advantage in the system.

About Polar Tint

What franchise prospects ask about the company.

Who owns Polar Tint?

Polar Tint LLC is a Nevada-registered limited liability company that owns the Polar Tint franchise system. Polar Tint LLC is operator-built — the playbook was developed by people who have been running window film shops in Las Vegas since 2015, not by consultants or investors with no in-bay experience.

When was Polar Tint founded?

The original Polar Tint operating playbook has been running since 2015 at affiliate shops in Las Vegas. The franchise system itself — the FDD, the SBA registration, the training program, the territory map — is the formalized version of the operating model proven over a decade of in-bay experience.

Is Polar Tint a real franchise or a licensing arrangement?

A real franchise. Polar Tint LLC files a current Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) with the relevant state franchise registrars, the franchise agreement is on the SBA Franchise Directory (which means the agreement has been pre-reviewed by the SBA so lenders can underwrite borrowers without re-approving the franchise documents), and franchisees pay disclosed initial and ongoing fees per Items 5 and 6 of the FDD. It is not a license, dealership, or affiliate program.

Where is Polar Tint headquartered?

Las Vegas, Nevada — the same market where the affiliate operating shops have been running since 2015. The 40 classroom hours of franchise training take place at the Las Vegas flagship shop, in the same bay where the operating playbook was developed.

How is Polar Tint different from an independent tint shop?

Three structural advantages: (1) manufacturer-direct economics through Glacier Manufacturing, our manufacturing partner — film, ceramic, and PPF at competitive manufacturer-direct pricing instead of the 25–40% distributor markup an independent shop pays; (2) a multi-service stack — six revenue lines from one shop bay rather than the one or two an independent typically runs; (3) a complete marketing and CRM system through Frostbite Marketing on day one, so operators focus on the bay instead of building a marketing engine from scratch.

What is Polar Tint's relationship with Glacier Manufacturing?

Glacier Manufacturing is the manufacturing partner — an affiliate company, not a parent. Polar Tint franchisees access film, ceramic, and PPF through Glacier at competitive manufacturer-direct pricing. The relationship is the unit-economics advantage that lets a Polar Tint shop run gross margins independents can't match over the operating lifetime.

Is Polar Tint financially stable?

Polar Tint LLC discloses its financial position in Item 21 of the FDD, which is provided to qualified candidates as part of the discovery process. Operator-level financial performance — gross sales, COGS, and gross profit at the affiliate shops — is disclosed in Item 19 of the FDD, a level of disclosure many competitor FDDs leave blank.

Can I visit the Las Vegas flagship before applying?

Discovery Day visits to the Las Vegas flagship are part of the standard discovery process for qualified applicants — typically after the prequalification call and FDD review, before the final commitment. Start with the application to begin the discovery sequence.
